Using Social Media to search for a new job opportunity

I thought I'd start using social media to seek out a new career opportunity.  I'm interested to see the results. Based on most of the research I've done, as I embark on finding a new job opportunity, the experts all say that you had better use social media effectively.

Regardless, I consider myself open to new technology and a bit of a gadget buff, so here I am, day 1 of uncovering that fantastic job opportunity using social media.  

I have a Twitter account of which I'll tweet, often, my experiences during my search. Also, I am going to use LinkedIn and other social media formats, like Scribd, Slide Share and Info Graphic, which I found on www.vizualize.me.com- which contains a really cool visual image of your resume profile.
